A Merry Little Christmas Soirée

Dec 10 2019

On a chilly and festive evening in East Central Austin, members donning their holiday best followed the flickering neon sign into the garden entryway to gather in the Winter Tent at Justine’s Brasserie for an evening of laughter, dancing, and dining! Members were greeted with a dreamy caviar blini amuse bouche, timeless cocktails like a Boodles Negroni and a Tincup Sazerac, and a perfectly pink Diamante Paloma added a dash of fun and color!

As members took their seats for the family style French dinner, a live Sinatra singer serenaded the crowd, bringing to life the playfully risqué and provocative essence that is Justine's. To pair with dinner, winery owner Rachel Martin brought hand selected wines from the coast of San Luis Obispo, the western-most vineyard site in California. For the Salade d’Orange with roasted carrot and toasted pistachio, there was a bright 2018 Oceano Chardonnay, and for the main course guests enjoyed a robust 2018 Oceano Pinot Noir with the steak au Poivre and a fresh snapper filet sautéed in butter, lemon, and herbs.

Guests fawned over the festive tent and exchanged holiday travel plans as the final course of the evening was served --- a Hazelnut Pot de Crème with chocolate drizzle & fresh berries. After dinner, guests took a twirl on the dance floor as Sinatra tunes created the perfect holiday energy. Afterward, guests all gathered in the back room covered floor to ceiling in vintage mirrors for a group holiday photo. As the evening came to an end, guests raised a final toast to all the fun of 2019 and all the fun to come in 2020!
