Dinner Party at Aventine

Posted May 23 2013

The Supper Club invited Los Angeles members to indulge in the fine flavors and beautiful scenery at one of the up and coming destinations, Aventine. This distinctive hot spot, set amongst the streets of Hollywood, offers guests a rare combination of Italian cuisine, romantic moods, and daring cocktail concoctions. The Supper Club opened the evening by welcoming guests with handcrafted Pisco Portón cocktails such as the Indian Summer and Two to Tango on the sensational back patio.

After the cocktail reception, guests were invited to sit down and begin a three-course, family style meal prepared by master chef, Adolfo Veronese. Dishes included Scottadito, Seared Atlantic Salmon, and Banana Tiramisu to top it off. With each course, guests were treated to a different glass of Blackbird wine, perfectly paired to enhance the traditional flavors of the meal. Guests spent the remainder of the evening raising their glasses to excellent company and authentic fair. The charming and nostalgic atmosphere inside Aventine made for the perfect night on the town.

Modern Italian Dinner at Galli

Posted May 14 2013

The Supper Club invited New York members to Galli Restaurant, a modern Italian eatery in the center of chic Soho, serving classic comfort food in a hip, downtown landscape. As guests arrived, they cozied up to the bar to enjoy an Italian twist on a citrus-spiked Pisco Punch, made with Pisco Portón, and a delicious Enza Prosecco.

For dinner, members were escorted to the back of the restaurant below the overhead skylight and quirky paintings to enjoy a wonderfully comforting Italian meal. The courses were paired with a complimentary Red and White Chateau Bonnet Bordeaux courtesy of Deutsch Wine and Spirits.

The meal concluded with a Chef’s Selection of Assorted Desserts and Italian Coffee. Despite the brisk spring weather, everyone warmed up with a tasty cocktail or two, a glass of wine and an inviting meal.

Book Release Party for "Blood Makes Noise"

Posted May 14 2013

The Supper Club LA welcomed members and guests to Frank Strausser's elegant residence in the Holmby Hills to celebrate Gregory Widen’s new novel “Blood Makes Noise”. Elegant ladies and stylish gents mingled outside in Frank’s beautiful garden poolside, whilst sipping handcrafted Pisco Portón cocktails, named after the book's characters and nibbling on delicious South American inspired appetizers.

Later, Gregory introduced the book and read a short extract from one of his favorite parts in the story. As the party came to a close, Gregory kept busy signing gifted copies of the novel to fellow partygoers.

Kentucky Derby Party

Posted May 07 2013

The Supper Club celebrated the Kentucky Derby in style at Skybar at the Mondrian Hotel, one of the most breathtaking locations in Los Angeles. Guests dressed in their ‘Derby Best’ were treated to an exclusive viewing party complete with themed handcrafted Pisco Porton cocktails and a delicious spread of small bites. In between the races, members relaxed poolside at our own select tables, basked in the sunshine and enjoyed tunes from DJ Chris Carter.

Earth Day Tree Party

Posted May 06 2013

In celebration of Earth Day, The Supper Club invited LA members to head to Santa Monica to honor our planet and our bodies in Tiato's beautiful herb & citrus garden for the An Family’s Earth Day Tree Party. The spectacular garden was filled with bars crafting local herb-infused cocktails, pressed juices from BluePrint, a gluten free ice-cream stand and various delicious sustainable food stations, including The An Family’s famous garlic noodles, custom-rolled Spring Rolls and desserts including nitrogen-blessed cheesecake among other indulgences.

Entertainment included a painter creating an immense tribute to “Urth Day”, great music, dancers and Cirque du Soleil type acrobats that dropped from the ceiling and twirled in sheets. To add even more purpose to the day, Tiato was honored with a "recycled green ribbon” cutting ceremony for their 2013 Sustainable Quality Awards Grand Prize win!
